    Description

Here we have another Lot of 9 scarce, very rare,  and desirable American Flyer #26601 Fiber Roadbed sections for auction.  These were made from 1959 to 1961 to accommodate standard American Flyer S Gauge track. Very much lower production that the much more common rubber roadbed. All original and complete.
These could be used at grade crossings, for sidings, or within a yard to differentiate those areas by contrasting to the common gray or black rubber roadbed used elsewhere.
This is the third of three Fiber Roadbed lots that I will be auctioning.
Detail condition #26601 Straight Fiber Roadbed:
Overall is VG(C6) with some signs of use and wear. Nothing broken or missing. Straight sections for all types of S gauge roadbed are harder to find than the curved sections.
Please verify the condition with the photographs supplied. If you win, you will be receiving the 9 sections of roadbed shown in the photographs.
Low starting bid and no reserve! Shipping can be combined if you win more than one auction.
I have been collecting and researching American Flyer O & S Gauge for 46 years and TCA member since 1975. I strive to accurate describe the cosmetic condition of each item with TCA Grading Standards and the rarity and desirability by my long experience with these trains. When appropriate, I will grade all visible surfaces, or if they grade the same, I provide an overall condition grade. Also, I point out any reproduction parts that I recognize or any surface restoration that appears to not be original.
