Jadeite Green Milk Glass Pontiac Indian Radiator Cap Paperweight Mosser Guernsey

Description

This is a stunning green milk glass paperweight that is made to look like the old pontiac car radiator caps. The glass is a creamy light green milk glass that is sometimes called Jadite or Jadeite.
The paperweight is the face of a Pontiac Indian Chief with a full headdress on. Excellent detail in the pressed glass with each feather detailed.
An excellent example of hand made pressed glass.
In excellent condition. There is a small spot (dime size) on one side of the feathers that feels like there is a little stippling in the glass. It doesn't really show, but you can feel it. This was done in the making and does not detract from this wonderful paperweight.
Has a round domed base (where it would have fit onto the radiator). Stands 3-1/2" tall and is 4-1/2" at the longest.
The base has been marked with Harold Bennet's Guernsey Glass mark: B inside a triangle and the date 1981.  (Guernsey Glass was in Cambridge Ohio and made glass in the 1960s & early 1970s.) Made for Guernsey Glass by Mosser Glass of Cambridge Ohio in 1980s or 1990s I believe.
