Presented here is an adorable antique small child or large doll coat or coat dress. The coat could have been made for a boy or girl of the era, most likely was an Edwardian boy's jacket. This is handmade of a 100% cotton fabric with a faille texture. It has a drop waist seam in the back, no seam in the front, with an attached belt that fastens in the front with a single button. The sleeves are set in with no shoulder seams, they have a welt edge angled seam, long and full, they have gentle gathers at the 2 1/4" wide cuff. The coat buttons down the front with the original seven mother-of-pearl buttons. The shawl or sailor style collar is self lined and edged in tatting. Excellent antique condition, clean, sturdy, no stains, no tears. All original. Absolutely adorable little coat, finely handmade and finished inside and out.
