This beautiful travel-size guzheng is Tangxiang's famous 100cm, also called 1 meter, model "Chang An." The sound is bright with exceptional volume for a 100cm travel-size guzheng.
This guzheng is 39" long. It is made with a professional quality paulownia soundboard and backboard, and it's decorated with blackwood trim.
It comes with a free set of finger picks and adhesive tape, a blackwood bridge set, a tuning wrench, a soft bag, and spare 1-5 strings. A matching 3-piece stand, as shown in the pictures, can be purchased as an option. We provide a set-up instruction manual that is easy to follow. Help with set-up and playing is also offered over the phone or internet free of charge.

Guzheng Size Reference:
Under 100cm(<40") : Toy replica
Please be aware that anything under 100cm is generally not playable!!!  There is no volume.  All strings sound flat, and the strings spacing are really small for your fingers.  It's more of a novelty item than an actually instrument.
100cm -125cm (40-49") :  Baby Guzheng
This is is made for kids who have smaller hands.  The sound is ok.  The bass is flat because the bass strings don't have the desired length to keep the pitch steady.  The string spacing is small for an adult, but perfect for
4-6 year old
kids to start learning.
125cm-155cm (50-61") :  Travel Guzheng
This size is made for convenient traveling.  The sound varys from different makers.  A good one can sound as good as a standard size, but a bad one sounds just like a baby guzheng.  The string spacing also varys.  Some makers make them smaller, and some makers make them just like the standard ones.
160cm+ (>61") :  Standard Guzheng
This is the standard size for guzheng.  All the strings have the desired lengh to keep the pitch in tune.  String spacing is standard for adult's figners.  Sound quality varys on different models and different makers.
